Interior Decorating Color
The presence of color is definitely the absence of dullness. Every style is incomplete without the interior decorating color. Variety is the fun part of choosing which schemes would fit your style, personality and preference. Of course, choose ones that would work out for you in a longer amount of time.
Colors, as in any aspects, can help create different end products. Those on the lighter side can help add dimension to a room whereas darker shades make a big room look smaller and cozier. Decorating with colors is not limited to singularly applying the paint to a flat surface, for various designs can now be created with them.
People usually wear horizontal stripes if they want to appear with more weight and don vertical stripes if they want to look shorter. Same is true for rooms. Coloring the walls with vertical stripes can reduce the foreboding feeling of a large room while horizontal ones give an illusion of spaciousness.
The most effective way of preventing high ceilings from appearing too heavenly is painting them with colors on a darker shade than the walls. It would give visual feeling of moving towards you due to its dark shades. Same principle, in reverse, is to be observed for low-ceilinged rooms. Choose a hue lighter that the ones you have used in the walls for your ceilings to give a visual feeling of it moving away from you, thereby creating an illusion of more space.
Interior decorating colors are a good way of either emphasizing or hiding certain parts of a room. It definitely gives the finishing touch to the style of home that you want to portray.
